If you want to do some hardcore cooking then go for a convection oven. After that you also need to decide what type of oven you want to buy based on the heat source. A gas oven or an electric oven. Gas is cheaper and better than an electric one but requires a special gas line connection.

Oven can be as compact as 0.8 cubic feet to as large as 4-5 cubic feet. The size you need may vary based on how much cooking you need to at a time in the oven. If you are planning to cook a full large family dinner then opt for a bigger oven or if it you are cooking for just yourself then opt for a smaller one.

4. Features:
Features are one of the big factor which you need to see in an oven. Few ovens have just the basic features like roasting and heat while others may be available will all the bells and whistle and have a whole range of features like grilling, roasting, baking, defrost, etc. They have tons of different settings and configurations to choose from. Choose the one which fits your cooking needs the best.
